Coverage, sessions, and everything else
Will my insurance cover nutrition counseling?
If you're in-network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, or UnitedHealthcare, almost certainly yes. Most in-network clients pay $0 out-of-pocket, and many plans cover unlimited sessions. We verify your specific plan before your first session.
What if you don't take my insurance?
We accept FSA/HSA payments for clients with limited coverage. For self-pay, sessions are $150 (initial) and $125 (follow-up).
How long is each session?
Initial appointments are typically 60 to 90 minutes. Follow-ups are 45 to 60 minutes. You and your dietitian decide the right cadence.
Are you really licensed in every state?
49 of them, plus DC. We're licensed everywhere except Alaska, and telehealth lets you meet your dietitian from anywhere in those locations.
I'm not an elite athlete. Is this for me?
Yes. About half our roster is active adults: runners, lifters, CrossFitters, weekend cyclists, parents who train before work. The reason we mention elite-level experience is that the same principles work for any active person; they're just rarely accessible outside that world.
What about eating disorders or recovery work?
Several of our dietitians are trained to support athletes through eating disorder recovery, working alongside your treatment team. We're a complement to clinical treatment, not a replacement for it.
